Grand Street is closed from SR 171 to the Susquehanna Borough line for emergency repairs to the wall and road. Access to the residents on both ends is still available, but a portion between is closed. There are signs at both ends indicating it is closed. The Susquehanna Communications Center, school, fire department, and police have all been notified. Repair work is starting immediately. It will be reopened as soon as repairs are completed. If you have any questions please call the Lanesboro Borough office at 570.853.4781.

Welcome to the Lanesboro Borough website. You will find here information for residents, visitors and anyone interested in our town. The borough is located at the northern edge of the Endless Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania. Our most notable point of interest is the Starrucca Viaduct, built in 1848 for the Erie Railroad.
